COLLEGE CLOSING POLICY

In the event of inclement weather, mechanical or power failure, or other emergencies, the following procedures will be implemented.  Every effort will be made to keep the College open.  In some cases, Calhoun Community College may remain open when area elementary and secondary schools are closed. 

When weather conditions prevent the opening of the College or cause a delayed opening of the College, students will be notified via CCC Alert and every effort will be made to make announcements via Calhoun SPACE email, on our website scroller and on the following radio and TV stations by 6:00 a.m. for that day:

Cancellation of day classes is not an automatic closing for evening sessions.  The decision to close classes that begin at 5:00 p.m. or later will be made as close to 2:00 p.m. as possible.  The same radio and TV stations will also carry closing announcements in the event that evening sessions or activities have to be cancelled on a day that the College was otherwise open.
