Obviously similar to the Grass Pink Orchid and found in similar habitats. This orchid has a larger flower that usually occurs singly unlike the many flowers found on Grass Pink Orchids. The plants in the background are Pitcher Plants - one of several types of carnivorous plants found in Alabama that actually lure and trap insects for digestion.
