This Trillium prefers drier, sandier areas than the other species do, and is most common in Desoto State Park where sandstone is a common rock. Found in one or two localities in Madison County as well. The flowers on this species are usually white, but may darken to pink as they age. The same is true of many of the white Trillium species.
