Japanese Honeysuckle
Full List
Lonicera japonica - Slide #22

Japanese Honeysuckle was introduced into this country from Asia by well-meaning biologists as a food source for quail and deer, and for erosion control. Unfortunately the plant has become a noxious and unwelcome invader over most of the state - at least to biologists - where it crowds out native plants and alters local habitats. This sort of behavior is common in newly introduced species - look at Kudzu, Privet Hedge, Starlings, English Sparrows - all illegal aliens in this country.
