Trillium luteum - Slide #48
Common in Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the lower elevations along Little River Road and at the Chimney's Picnic area Nature Trail (great place). The flower has a faint odor of lemon and some people call it Lemon Trillium for this reason. This species MAY extend into Alabama in Jackson County, but no records document its existence there yet. |
