1.) You are ordered to administer 10 mg/kg/min to a patient that is hypotesnive. He weighs 220 lbs. Using a 60gtt/ml set how many drops per minute would you give if you had 800mg of Dopamine and 1000 ml of normal saline?

220 lbs = 100 kg

Rate = (1000 ml) (10 mg/kg/min) (100 kg ) (60gtt/ml) = 75 gtt/min

2.) You are ordered to administer 3 mg/min of Lidocaine to a 150 lbs man that is in ventricular tachycardia. You have 2 g of lidocaine premixed in 500 ml of D₅W. Using a microdrip set (60gtt/ml), how many ml per hour will you set your pump to deliver?
